Connect TikTok
The one-button way
Open the TikTok card
Setup → scroll to TikTok Ads, or go to app.shopdeck.io/setup?service=tiktok.
Press Connect with TikTok
You are taken to TikTok’s own screen, where you sign in if you are not already, and it asks whether Shopdeck may access your advertiser account.
Pick the right advertiser account
If you have several, TikTok shows a list. Tick the one you actually run ads with. Picking the wrong one means Shopdeck reads a different account’s spend, which is confusing rather than broken.
Say yes, and you land back in Setup
The Access token and Advertiser ID fields are now filled in and the card shows a green Configured badge.
Pick the account your ads run under
The field called Identity ID becomes a dropdown once you are connected. It lists the TikTok accounts attached to your advertiser. Leave it on Automatic — the account’s own identity unless you have several and want a specific one.
Optional: the pixel
Pixel ID or code is a dropdown too. Pick your pixel, or paste the code TikTok shows under Assets → Events — the short one that looks like D2B78N…. Shopdeck works out the number behind it. Only needed for the Campaign Builder.
Press Test connection. It names your advertiser account and tells you which identity would be used.
If there is no Connect button
Then this Shopdeck is not carrying a TikTok app, and you need to bring your own. This is considerably more work and most people should ask for the button to be enabled instead.
Create an app at TikTok for Business
You need an app with Ads Management, Creative Management and Reporting under its scope of permission. Register the callback address Shopdeck shows on the card as the app’s Advertiser redirect URL.
Creative Management is not optional
Without it, uploading videos is refused and the Campaign Builder cannot create a single video ad. This is the most common reason a self-built TikTok connection half-works.
Fill in App ID and App secret, then connect
Paste both into the TikTok card and save. The Connect with TikTok button then appears and uses your app instead.
Finding the Advertiser ID by hand: it is in the account picker in TikTok Ads Manager, and also in the address bar after aadvid=.

When it does not work
The Connect button sends you back with an error
Why: Usually you were signed into TikTok as a person who does not administer that advertiser account.
Fix: Sign out of TikTok, sign back in as the account owner, and press Connect with TikTok again.
Test connection warns about Creative Management
Why: The token was granted without that permission, so Shopdeck can read your spend but cannot upload a video.
Fix: Press Connect with TikTok again and make sure every permission is accepted on TikTok’s screen. If you brought your own app, add the scope on the app page first.
The Identity dropdown is empty
Why: The connection has not been saved yet, or the advertiser has no TikTok account attached.
Fix: Save the card first — the list is read from TikTok using the saved token. If it stays empty, attach a TikTok account to your advertiser in TikTok Ads Manager.
What needs TikTok
- Attribution and Creatives need TikTok or Meta — either one is enough.
- The Campaign Builder needs TikTok for TikTok campaigns, plus an identity, and a pixel if you want conversion optimisation.
