Campaign Builder
After the build
What Shopdeck already checked
When the last step finishes, Shopdeck goes back to Meta or TikTok and reads the campaign back rather than trusting what the create calls said. That matters: Meta has been known to answer “paused” to a create call and then have the object turn out to be active.
It checks four things:
- The campaign exists.
- The number of ad sets matches the plan.
- The number of ads matches the plan.
- Nothing is switched on.
When all four hold you see Done — and everything is paused. That is the outcome you want.
What you should check yourself
Open it on the platform
There is a button on the build page — Open on the platform — that takes you straight to the campaign in Ads Manager.
Look at one ad, properly
Not the list — one actual ad preview. Is the video the right one? Does the text read the way you meant it? Does the link go to the right product page?
Check the countries per ad set
This is where a mistake hides best. Open each ad set and confirm the countries are the ones you meant for that ad set, not for a different one.
Check the daily budget
Read the total, not the per-ad-set figure. Multiply it out and ask whether that is what you meant to commit per day.
Then, and only then, switch it on
In Ads Manager, not in Shopdeck. Shopdeck has no button that switches anything on, deliberately.
One thing the wizard does not ask you
On Meta, campaigns are built targeting women, ages 21 to 65. That is stated on the confirmation screen before you build, but there is no control anywhere to change it. If your product is for men or for everyone, change the audience in Ads Manager before switching the campaign on.
When the check fails
Status check failed means it was built but reading it back did not agree with the plan. Almost always this is a timing problem, not a real one — the platform had not finished listing everything yet.
Read the findings
They are specific: how many ad sets it found against how many it expected, and so on.
Press Verify again
Wait half a minute and press it. If the platform has caught up, the build moves to done (paused) by itself.
If it still disagrees, look on the platform
Count the ad sets and ads yourself. If they are all there, the build is fine and the check was just unlucky. If some are genuinely missing, use Retry failed steps.
One finding you must act on immediately
If it says anything is ON — the campaign or an ad set — go and switch it off on the platform now. Something that is on is spending money while you read this. Shopdeck raises that finding above all the others for exactly that reason.
When a build fails halfway
Status stalled. Some things were created and some were not. The build page names the step that failed and quotes what the platform said.
- Retry failed steps — the right button almost every time. It picks up only what did not finish.
- Rebuild everything — starts over. It does not delete what was already created, so you end up with duplicates that you have to remove in Ads Manager yourself. Only for when the plan itself was wrong.
If the platform asked for a pause because you are hitting a rate limit, Shopdeck waits and says so. Nothing is lost; the steps stay queued. Come back in a few minutes and press Continue.
Common failures
“A campaign with this name already exists”
Why: You have built this before, or the name collides with something you made by hand.
Fix: Either change the name, or confirm you deliberately want a second one beside it — Shopdeck asks before going ahead.
The landing page check fails
Why: The URL does not answer, or answers with an error.
Fix: This one is not skippable, on purpose: hundreds of ads pointing at a broken address cannot be repaired afterwards without rebuilding all of them. Fix the page, or pick a different product, then check again.
Video upload is refused on TikTok
Why: The token is missing the Creative Management permission.
Fix: Reconnect TikTok in Setup, accepting every permission. See Connect TikTok.
Everything failed and the errors mention a limit
Why: You have hit the platform’s rate limit — often after several large builds in a row.
Fix: Wait, then Retry failed steps. The Errors screen groups identical messages, which makes it obvious when it is one cause rather than many.
Once it is running
Spend starts arriving in Shopdeck within a few minutes and shows up on the Profit Dashboard. Give it a full day before you judge anything — a campaign in its first hours is not telling you anything yet.
